Posted on 10:58 AM by Unknown
while doing ssh to remote /client machine SSH take too much time for prompt password.  To resolve/fix this issue.

Do the following steps.

SSH remote machine with Verbose mode.

The problem cause by red mark above.

To resolve this, login under client /Remote machine  Open sshd_config

Comment following lines.
root@base02 ssh]# vi sshd_config

# GSSAPI options
#GSSAPIAuthentication no
GSSAPIAuthentication yes
#GSSAPICleanupCredentials yes
GSSAPICleanupCredentials yes
#GSSAPIStrictAcceptorCheck yes
#GSSAPIKeyExchange no

These 2 lines need to be commented.
#GSSAPIAuthentication yes
#GSSAPICleanupCredentials yes

Save the file and restart service.

[root@base02 ssh]# /etc/init.d/sshd restart
Stopping sshd:                                             [  OK  ]
Starting sshd:
